Hi all,
I'm wondering if any emulators can support MDR files > 254 sectors in size? ( ie, that will just play all sectors in order regardless of size. )
For those unsure of why, the 128K limit on the Microdrive format under the standard IF1 was broken last week, and has been expanded out to 640K per cartridge now, while still maintaining compatability with the normal IF1, code and software. ( It's just a format variation ).
I know it's not likely anyone anticipated this would happen, but if there are any emulators that don't force a hard limit on 254 sectors, or crash when you try to load a MDR file larger than this, I'm looking for something to help me in expanding and defining the format details further.
Thanks
David.
