PC based USB Adaptors for Joysticks and Gamepads and similar Game Controllers

Strictly speaking ,this is hardware as it is not about emulators per se , but is more about how to get Speccy based emulators to work better with Game Controllers like joysticks and similar devices. I looked around and saw that the various contributions here on WOS were a bit scattered around a bit . But PC based technology (can at times) eventually move on , so these add ons can get out of date and difficult to find - for instance , the Megadrive Controller Adapters for PC USB are no longer available as new from retail stockists. Luckily there are other ways of tackling this subject .
